Standing 58 metres tall and completed in 1870, the historic Shot Tower was for a time Australia's tallest building. Now it is National Trust classified, tourist drawcard and with 318 steps to the top it provides wide sweeping views over the Derwent river below.

Hobart's famous Salamanca Market's draw a crowd of over 1000 tourists and locals every Saturday. Set underneath rows of Plane trees and amongst the beautiful sandstone facades of the seaside suburb more than 300 stalls set up offering arts and crafts, fresh fruit and vegetables, and home baked goods while buskers play nearby.

South Hobart's Cascade Brewery is the oldest continually operating brewery in Australia. Take the Heritage Tour and learn more about the extravagant grounds and buildings or take the Brewery tour and hear about process and the many brewing stories over the years. Complete with tastings of course.

Hobart sits in the foot hills of Mount Wellington, and 'The Mountain' as the locals call it provides a nearby natural playground. Perfect for bushwalking, bike riding, horse riding, 4wd and rock climbing and easily accessible from the city.
