Geelong See & Do Guide
The second biggest city in Victoria, Geelong is an essential stop along the Great Ocean Road. Home to the famous Bellarine wine region and the best mussels on the coast, enjoy your food & drink with Corio Bay as your backdrop. Make Discovery Parks - Geelong your base as you tour the town.
SPORT
Home to the Kardinia Park Stadium and nearby Rip Curl Pro events, Geelong will not disappoint the athletes and Cats fans. Want Sailing 101 instead? The city's yacht club can teach you a thing or two about being out on the water.
ADVENTURE PARK GEELONG
Welcome to Victoria's largest theme park. Splashzone, ferris wheel, and rollercoasters galore - the Adventure Park is a summer spot to relieve yourself from the heat or have a blast on the rides.
WALKING, HIKING & RUNNING
Take a leisurely walk through the Botanic Gardens followed by a stroll down the Geelong Waterfront to ride the steam-driven carousel (originally built in 1892!) and gander at the bollard people - wood carvings depicting the history of the city. Not enough? How about a hike through the You Yangs. A runner instead? Explore the Balyang Sanctuary, a spectacular haven of birds.
WINE & DINE
A wine region famous for its rich flavours. Boutique wineries freckle the area. Search the varieties of the Moorabool Valley, Bellarine, and Surf Coast. If you're more a foodie, Geelong presents plenty of options. Try fish & chips at the boat house or a visit to Little Creatures - your tummy will thank you!
ALL ABOARD!
Train enthusiasts be ready: the Bellarine Railway is a short drive from our park. Observe the collection of vintage trains and even sit in the car of a heritage diesel or steam train to take a scenic ride through the area. Choo choo!
