FAQ
There are two access points to the Resort, with all Chalet rooms check in located at our Village location, and Cabin, Caravan and Camping check in located at our Cradle Mountain side, this is due to the nature of the roads leading to the chalet rooms, which are inaccessible for large charter buses and caravans and trailers, due to the steepness and curves on the road. Both sides are accessible via a walking track in park. With the restaurant and bar located on the Village side and General store located on the Cradle Mountain side.
No, due to the roads leading into the receptions, only chalet rooms can check in on the Village side of the property, all other check in is managed through the Cradle Mountain reception, which has Caravan and trailer access. Guests are welcome to use facilities at both sides of the property, with a restaurant and café on the Village reception side, as well as a sauna.
Across our locations which are side by side with a track that connects the two reception points, there is a general store, a restaurant and bar, dump point, camp kitchen, laundry facilities, sauna and BBQ’s.
Our receptions are open from 9am-5pm most days subject to seasonal requirements.
There is no medical centre in Cradle Mountain, for major emergencies please call 000 for Police, Fire, and Ambulance. For our In-house guests, please contact the reception during office hours for any general needs within your Chalet. Should you have a genuine emergency throughout the evening, please call our Duty Manager. You can find the phone number on your fire evacuation plan in your room, or on the map provided upon check-in.
Free Wi-Fi is available across the property, in our main reception, our Lounge, our Restaurant, and the surrounds of the reception area. Depending upon your mobile phone service provider you may struggle with telephone or data service throughout the Resort.
When we say that you have a “shared bathroom” we simply mean that there is not an ensuite in each bedroom, but rather one bathroom for the entire chalet. Chalets have one or two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge, and a kitchen.
