For a unique accommodation option, spend your time at Discovery Resorts – Undara in a beautifully restored Queensland rail carriage. This multi award-winning unique style of accommodation is an experience not to be missed! The rooms stand underneath shady gum trees and have their own ensuite, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a shared deck.
For more premium accommodation, the Pioneer Huts are a mix of comfort and style and have everything you need for an enjoyable stay at Undara. Each hut is dedicated to the memory of somebody believed to be a pioneer of the region. The Pioneer Huts provide the modern comforts of air-conditioning, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There are also private ensuite bathrooms and your very own veranda overlooking the bush, perfect for an afternoon cup of tea and spotting kangaroos, wallabies, and kookaburras… so just sit back and relax.
The Homesteads are dedicated to six of the original pioneering homesteads in the region. Each room has a king bed that can be split into twins, perfect for couples or groups travelling together. All the rooms are air-conditioned, have ensuites, and have tea and coffee making facilities.
If you’re after a more rustic, outback experience, Discovery Resorts – Undara provides a range of permanent swag tents, complete with beds and linen. These permanent tents are nestled in the shady bush with their own fire pits, but still close enough to the lodge to enjoy the facilities. The swag tents are close to central amenities and the undercover camp kitchen with hot and cold water, free gas barbeque, fridge, gas hot plates, picnic tables and chairs.
If you’re travelling in a camper trailer, caravan, motorhome, or rooftop tent and want to do your own thing, that’s cool too! Discovery Resorts – Undara also has an outback Caravan Park and Campground, set amongst the gum trees. There are powered and unpowered sites, amenities blocks and barbeques free to use.
The grounds also offer a billabong style, saltwater swimming pool, a cascading water feature and shallow kids paddle area. It’s the perfect spot to cool off and relax after a day of adventure.
As Discovery Resorts – Undara is located within a National Park domestic pets are not permitted at the property. This includes in vehicles, caravans or camper trailers. Assistant pets with papers are exempt from this rule and are welcome across all our facilities.
