The ultimate introduction to Undara’s lava tubes; take a guided tour along the boardwalks through the hollow lava tubes that formed this remarkable archway structure.
Be guided through the mesmerising lava tubes, created some 190,000 years ago when a sustained volcanic eruption spewed molten lava down a dry riverbed. The outer layer formed a crust, and when the lava below drained away, a series of long, hollow tubes remained.

This 2-hour leisurely tour takes you through the lava tubes on a series of boardwalks and stairs, with handrails it is suitable for most people. It departs several times a day from March through until the end of October. An experienced tour guide will take you through the Archway as you explore the spectacular remains of the hollow tubes.
Note this tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
