Tickets on sale for Bruce Munro’s Light-Towers

Experience the newest art installation to light up Australia’s Red Centre from 1 April 2023, with tickets on sale from today.

The latest installation by acclaimed British-Australian light artist Bruce Munro is set to open to the public from 1 April 2023 at Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon, with tickets on sale from today.

Light-Towers at Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon is a collaboration between Bruce Munro and Australia’s leader in regional tourism experiences, G’day Group. Consisting of 69 two-metre towers that change colour in response to music emanating from within them, Light-Towers, will take guests at the iconic Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon on a captivating and immersive aural and visual journey.

Light-Towers is Munro’s second Red Centre work following Field of Light at Uluru, which has received international acclaim since its installation in 2016.

Visitors to Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon will have the option of ticketed Sunrise, Sunset or By Night experiences or may view the installation from afar on the newly constructed viewing deck.

Ticketed experiences start from $30 ($25 for children) with up to 40 people per group, depending on session time. Selected food and beverages included in the price or available to purchase at the kiosk located next to the viewing deck.

  • Sunrise experience: A hosted Light -Towers experience at dawn followed by a sunrise breakfast on the viewing deck, all for $45 per person.
  • Sunset premium experience: Enjoy a selection of native inspired canapes, sparkling, wine, beer or choice of non-alcoholic beverage before experiencing Light-Towers as the sun sets over Kings Canyon. $85 per person.
  • By Night experience: As night falls, spend half an hour walking through Light-Towers at your leisure on a self-guided experience for $30 per person. Beverages available for purchase from the kiosk.

Tickets are available for purchase to the general public from today through the Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon website (www.discoveryholidayparks.com.au/resorts/kings-canyon).

Guests at Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon may also purchase tickets at the main reception.
