Summer of cricket rules with Discovery Parks

Australia’s largest owner and operator of lifestyle holiday parks, Discovery Parks, is teaming up Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and putting the call out to cricket aficionados around the country to create the definitive guide to backyard cricket.

As the official Discovery Parks Backyard Cricket Umpire, Fitzy is inviting Aussies to submit their favourite (or quirkiest) backyard cricket rules for the chance to win one of 10 Discovery Parks prize packs, including family passes to the cricket, as well as a Discovery Parks voucher and a cricket bat signed by Australian wicket keeper Alex Carey.

The winners will also have their rules included in Fitzy’s definitive guide to backyard cricket, which will be in play all summer long at Discovery Parks around the country.

The action doesn’t stop there either, with Discovery Parks returning as the naming rights sponsor for Triple M’s Summer of Cricket.

The partnership ensures that Discovery Parks will be top of mind for listeners across Australia, as Triple M brings every ball, run, and wicket into the homes, cars, and campsites of cricket-loving Aussies. The partnership extends across Triple M’s LiSTNR digital and podcast platforms.

“Cricket and summer holidays are quintessentially Australian, but we know that the rules of the game can often be contentious depending on which backyard, beaches or holiday park you’re playing in,” said Lahnee White, Chief Marketing Officer of Discovery Parks.

“Teaming up with Fitzy and backyard cricket legends across Australia, we’re establishing the definitive backyard rulebook and settling those arguments once and for all.”

“Backed by our partnership with Triple M, Discovery Parks will be the home of cricket this summer, reinforcing our part in creating cherished holiday moments with family and friends.”
