Major upgrade for new Discovery Parks - Bright

Bright’s best rated holiday park, Bright Freeburgh Caravan Park, is set for a $6m upgrade having been acquired by the G’day Group, and joining the portfolio as Discovery Parks – Bright.

The significant development is planned to encourage higher visitation to Victoria’s High County includes over 30 cabins and facilities to enhance the guest experience.

Located adjacent to the picturesque Ovens River and less than ten minutes from the Bright town centre, the park is set across 5 hectares with over 120 camp sites and a variety of cabin accommodation. Bright and surrounds is known for its autumn foliage, national parks and mountain views, and the property is ideally placed for enjoying the region’s outdoor activities, or heading out towards the ski fields.

The park has a perfect rating on TripAdvisor and Chief Executive of the G’day Group, Grant Wilckens, says he is excited to welcome such a well-loved property to the Group.

“Previous owners Nicole and John McCabe worked incredibly hard to build the park’s reputation and they have done an amazing job. We’re looking forward to building on what they’ve achieved.”

“We have several properties in our independent park network through the High Country, but this is our first in the region under the Discovery Parks brand. As the largest regional accommodation provider in the country, we’re excited to be adding to our footprint through this beautiful part of Australia,” said Grant.

The G’day Group is Australia’s largest regional accommodation provider with over 280 properties across Australia. It is home to accommodation brands G’day Parks and Discovery Parks, along with loyalty program G’day Rewards.
