Second Lake Hume property boosts G’day Group’s Murray footprint
Discovery Parks and the G’day Group have welcomed Discovery Parks – Lake Hume, New South Wales (formerly BIG4 Lake Hume Tourist Park) to its portfolio, boosting the company’s coverage of Murray River road trip routes through SA, NSW and Victoria. Fifteen minutes from the heart of Albury, this is second Lake Hume property for the Group.
The 10+ hectare property is beautifully located on the waterfront with sweeping views, abundant wildlife and the historic Lake Hume Dam and lookout close by. G’day Group acquired the property from Frank Davies’ Caravan Park Escapes and leasehold from the local water authority.
With 200+ camp sites, a range of cabins, on site restaurant and direct beach access, the property is the ideal location for enjoying the Albury-Wodonga region’s many attractions, water sports, fishing and heritage.
Chief Executive of the G’day Group, Grant Wilckens, says that with border restrictions easing between New South Wales and Victoria, the great Australian road trip will be seeing a boom. “River holidays are an Australian favourite and Lake Hume is a fantastic spot. With more and more people hitting the road to explore our regions, this is a great addition to our portfolio.”
“As the largest provider of regional accommodation in the country with over 280 properties in our G’day Parks network, planning and enjoying a regional road trip with us has never been easier. We can’t wait to welcome people to Discovery Parks – Lake Hume, New South Wales.”
Lake Hume Tourist Park joins the G’day Group on 8 December 2020.
G’day Group Holdings is the corporate entity that owns Discovery Parks, the licensed park network G’day Parks and G’day Rewards. G’day Group Holdings, majority owned by Sunsuper, employs more than 1,200 people around the country.
