Discovery Parks - Hervey Bay launches family glamping experience
Glamping is soon to arrive at Discovery Parks – Fraser St, Hervey Bay, offering families the chance to experience the pristine Fraser Coast in style.
The new glamping precinct, complete with six new safari tents each featuring a queen bed and single bunk beds, has been designed for families.
Park Manager Georgina Woodlee said the new glamping accommodation would provide a sense of escape and connection to nature in one of Australia’s loveliest coastal destinations.
It brings a new standard of sophistication to the park, balanced by old-fashioned customer service as recognised by our recent Outstanding Host Award in the Caravanning Queensland Awards”, she said.
“The safari tents have a hotel-style ensuite and kitchenette, luxurious beds and a deck complete with barbecue, set in a beautifully landscaped area by the lake,” Georgie said.
“It’s the ideal base for families wanting to dip their toes into eco-tourism and explore the beautiful Fraser Coast, including Lady Elliott Island at the tip of the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island and turtle reef tours.”
The near $1 million investment represented an ongoing commitment by Discovery Parks to bring the simple pleasures of nature and regional Australia to new visitors, Ms Woodlee said.
The glamping accommodation is the first of its type for holiday parks in the area and it is expected to appeal to domestic and international travellers.
