Discovery Holiday Parks

Award-winning Mildura park joins Discovery network

Discovery Holiday Parks today welcomes Discovery Parks - Mildura (formerly Buronga Riverside Tourist Park) to its ever-growing network; a highly-rated park on the River Murray overlooking Mildura.

The 8-hectare park is known for its tranquil riverfront location, abundance of shady gum trees, bird life and expansive grassy riverbank.

Discovery Holiday Parks acquired the property from the Trood family who have built a fantastic reputation for the park over the past 13 years.

Featuring riverfront villas, cabins, powered and unpowered sites, the property is the perfect location to explore the Sunraysia region from, with its abundant wineries, national parks, river fishing and water sports.

Chief Executive of Discovery Holiday Parks, Grant Wilckens, said that the setting of the new Discovery Parks – Mildura, Buronga Riverside property is spectacular.

“The Trood family are to be credited for building the park up over more than a decade. It has a fantastic reputation for its idyllic setting, superior facilities, premium location and family-centric customer service.”

“We look forward to building on this reputation as we welcome the park into our portfolio, which is now at over 280 properties across Australia under both the Discovery Parks and Top Parks brands.”

“Our aim is to become the largest regional accommodation provider in Australia, and the acquisition of a Mildura property means we have road trips covered between SA, VIC and NSW via the Sunraysia and Riverland regions,” said Grant.

Mildura is known as Australia’s ‘food bowl’ and is the largest town in the Sunraysia region. It is home to the two largest rivers in Australia; the Murray River and the Darling River, making it a popular location for fishing, houseboats and water sports.

Bookings for Discovery Parks - Mildura, Buronga Riverside are currently available via phone (03 5023 3040). The property will be available to book via the Discovery Holiday Parks’ website later this month.
