LURITJA LOOKOUT
Only a short walk from Discovery Resorts - Kings Canyon, the Luritja Lookout offers unrivalled views of Carmichaels Crag and the famous George Gill Range.
The lookout is named after the Indigenous people and traditional owners of the land on which its stands, the Luritja, who have lived on and taken care of this region for tens of thousands of years.
Spectacular Views
Guests can enjoy a drink on the platform here and watch the incredible sandstone features in front of them change colour as the sun dips behind their peak.
Most will stay spellbound while spectacular hues of red, orange, purple and pink are filtered through the Red Centre’s unique sandy surrounds – all before a million stars come out to play each night!
Light-Towers
From April 2023, the Luritja Lookout will also be the starting point for all guests of Light-Towers, Bruce Munro’s second Red Centre sound and light installation.
Light-Towers will bring with it a new and improved beverage outlet, open in the evening.
