Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk

The Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk is an award-winning attraction that’s been operating in the heritage environment of the Ulladulla Harbour since 2009.
Taking visitors on a two-hour journey of discovery from the grassed picnic area in front of the Marine Rescue Headquarters, guests on this guided walk have the opportunity to learn about various groups of fossils - some dating back as far as 270 million years - while enjoying picturesque views of the harbour.

Operated by local not-for-profit group Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk Incorporated, the walk is suitable for visitors of all ages.
Ulladulla Wildflower Reserve

Taking place on a relatively flat trail, the Ulladulla Wildflower Reserve loop is a 3.4km walk featuring beautiful wildflowers set amongst native bush.
Wild orchids, waratahs, and native irises are some of the local flora to look out for.
The Shoalhaven region is home to several endangered bird species including the Littler Tern, so be sure to bring your gear along if bird-watching is something you’re into.

EXPLORE ULLADULLA
Warden Head Lighthouse
For spectacular views of the Shoalhaven Coast, head to Ulladulla’s famous lighthouse, the Warden Head Lighthouse.
This lighthouse is approaching its 150th year and is one of only two lighthouses in NSW made from wrought iron plate, making it a true piece of history. Aside from grand vistas, the lookout is a great spot for spotting sea life, especially during the spring whale season.
Rennies Beach
Immediately south of the Ulladulla town centre, Rennies Beach is a 530m long southeast-facing beach bordered by rock platforms, which narrow the open sand to 400m.
In big swells, there is a very steep right-hander best left to experienced surfers, while the reef at Ulladulla Bombie produces a handy left and right-hand break that novices can approach with some confidence.

Even if you’re not a surfer, wide rock platforms at Warden Head provide fishermen and women with a tempting opportunity, but should always be treated with caution as there are no beach patrols here.
