Nothing heralds the change in season quite like Australia. As winter recedes, the country bursts into colour, from rolling fields of wildflowers in WA to jacaranda-lined streets in NSW and tulip festivals across Victoria and Tasmania.

Whether you're looking to stop and smell the roses, plan a colourful picnic, or catch a country market buzzing with seasonal flavour, here are some of the best places to experience spring across Australia - and the Discovery Parks you can stay at nearby.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

WA is home to the largest wildflower show on Earth, with over 12,000 species blooming across the state—many of them unique to the region.

From late August through November, you’ll find everlastings, orchids, and wattles carpeting fields and bushlands. Popular trails include the Coral Coast Highway, Coalseam Conservation Park and Lesueur National Park. Closer to the city, head to Perth’s Kings Park for the Everlasting Kings Park Festival celebrating all things about the season.
