MILLSTREAM CHICHESTER NATIONAL PARK
Where: Millstream, Western Australia
Nearest Parks: Discovery Parks - Pilbara, Karratha
The Pilbara is serious 4WD country. A couple hours outside of Karratha, you'll find glassy freshwater pools, sunset-coloured rock, and dragonflies sitting on water lilies. In the northern part of Millstream Chichester National Park, you will find the challenging and rewarding George River Track. Covering just under 14km of diverse terrain, enjoy the full hour of breathtaking scenery.

LITTLE DIP CONSERVATION PARK
Where: Robe, South Australia
Nearest Park: Discovery Parks - Robe
Some of the best four-wheel driving on the Limestone Coast is nestled on the outskirts of Robe, South Australia. To fully explore the dunes and the coastline at Little Dip, a 4WD is a must - the journey is always more exciting. The park is dotted with a chain of small lakes and is home to a range of endangered bird species. Remember to bring your binoculars!

CABLE BEACH
Where: Cable Beach, Western Australia

Once you've got your caravan set up along Roebuck Bay (for stellar views of Staircase to the Moon), drive out to Cable Beach at sunset to watch the camels stroll past. White sand beach, turquoise water, and warm climes - a recipe for complete bliss. 4WDs can access the beach north of the rocks via a ramp at Cable Beach Road West.

FRASER ISLAND
Where: Fraser Coast, Queensland

The only place where towering rainforests grow on sand dunes. The largest sand island in the world. We're taking you to World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Happen across the Champagne Pools, freshwater Lake McKenzie, and ripper fishing at Eli Creek. Before getting ahead of yourself, make sure to apply for an official vehicle access permit to drive across Fraser Island's beaches (and check the tide times!).

KAKADU NATIONAL PARK
Where: Jabiru, Northern Territory
Nearest Park: Discovery Parks - Darwin
Kakadu is the largest national park in Australia - and home to 10,000 crocodiles. It's all about the adventure, right? If you're looking to experience the famous waterfalls and trails, Kakadu is best seen by 4WD. The Jim Jim Falls track is great fun, with the waterfalls and plunge pool at the end as a massive reward (just look at the picture below!).

GREAT OTWAY NATIONAL PARK

Lush, nearly fluorescent green forest surrounds you. The trees and ferns look prehistoric - it's no wonder that the Dinosaur Cove fossil site is closeby! The park has tracks for all skill levels, from the newbies who've hired their first four-wheeler to the experts who've been bogged in the most remote places in Australia. A few journeys of interest are Goat, Noonday, Number One Spur, and West Barton Tracks.

WELLINGTON PARK

The White Timber Trail, set on the western end of Wellington Park, is 50km of loose gravel, steep climbs, and huge boulders. We know, you're already excited.

CROWDY BAY NATIONAL PARK

Pack your lines, pick up your access permit from the Visitors Information Centre, and follow the trails to the beaches of Crowdy Bay National Park. At South Beach, there are picnic tables overlooking the vast expanse of the South Pacific - so pack your sammies for a lunch with the ocean.
