10 must-do activities to discover in Moama, NSW
There’s something about river holidays and the Echuca-Moama region on the NSW and VIC border is one of our favourite places!
We asked the team at Discovery Parks – Maidens Inn, Moama for their best recommendations of things to see and do in the local area. Whether you’re spending your days enjoying the mighty Murray River, or taking in the region’s rich history, great food and drink experiences, and unique local charm, one thing’s for sure: Moama is an essential stop for your next river holiday!
Explore by Pontoon Boat
Book one of the pontoon boats from the park at Maidens Inn for a day on the water. Each boat holds up to 12 guests and we suggest booking for a whole day to make the most of your time on the river. Our favourite trip is to travel up to Cape Horn Winery where you can sit by the Murray River and watch the world go by with one of Cape Horn’s yummy woodfire pizzas and their local wines.
Sample Local Gin at Echuca Distillery
The recently opened Echuca Distillery is a must visit for tourists to the Echuca-Moama region. Enjoy locally brewed gin together with an all-day breakfast. You can even book in a ‘gin and beer trail’ experience that incorporates a paddle steamer trip, a stop at Morrisons Winery to try either their beer or cider, and sampling gin at the distillery.
