Barossa Valley makes list of best glamping experiences in South Australia
The South Australian Tourism Commission has included one of our most popular destinations in their piece, ‘10 Best Glamping Experiences in South Australia,’ and who are we to disagree?
If the rough and tumble of camping and caravanning isn’t quite your thing - or even if it is - a stay in our award-winning safari-style tents at Discovery Parks - Barossa Valley should be high on your list of things-to-do.
Already featured in travel publications around the world, including Australian Traveller, who called them the ‘ultimate place to unwind,' the secret is out about these oasis of relaxation, metres from some of Australia’s most loved wineries.
Here’s what the SATC had to say in May, 2020:
“The two-person luxe tents are set in a private area of the park with exclusive access to an outdoor lounge, BBQ space, firepit, heated swimming pool and spa.
"Tucked among gum trees with vineyard views, the eco-luxe tent features hotel standard ensuite bathrooms and a private deck for the ultimate luxury escape.”
Surrounded on all-sides by world class food and wine options, it’s no surprise that a premium glamping experience this good continues to get attention.
Located just an hour north of Adelaide, the Barossa Valley itself is revered by wine lovers around the world, and makes the region just outside the historic town of Tanunda the most visited tourist attraction in South Australia.
Having the option of a glamping tent that keeps you close to nature while not forgoing a single element of the luxury you deserve is the ideal escape for couples of all ages.
Designed to be environmentally sustainable, each tent is built by EcoStructures Australia and made from high-grade canvas able to withstand a Category 5 Cyclone - not that many of those come through Barossa Valley.
To ease any nerves you might have, African-inspired decor, earthy tones and superior quality linen and towels will quickly transport you from the hustle of everyday life.
Modern ensuite bathrooms and a kitchenette in every tent give you the space you need to truly relax, as will the leather couch and bedroom area which can be configured to fit either one king size or two twin beds.
Each tent also has its own three-metre wide deck, making them the perfect spot for a sundowner or romantic nightcap.
