PINKY BEACH
Pinky Beach is an iconic West Australian destination, that holds a place in the heart of locals.
Pinky Beach is located just below Bathurst Point Lighthouse and is just a short walk from the Thomson Bay settlement. It is known for its white sands and sparkling blue water.
THE BASIN
The Basin is one of island’s most popular beaches in the warmer months where the waters are perfect for snorkeling. There are beach shelters and toilet and shower facilities. The Basin is directly accessible from Discovery Resorts - Rottnest Island.
QUOKKAS AND THE QUOKKA SELFIE
These uber cute, extremely hospitable and super famous marsupials can be found all over Rottnest Island. But please don't touch them. Quokkas are very active during the day and aren't afraid to get up close ……. if you're lucky you may even find one willing to pose for a famous "Quokka Selfie."

WALK THE WADJEMUP BIDI TRAILS
Wadjemup Bidi is a series of 45 kilometres of walking trails that explore Rottnest Island. The trails take walkers on a range of tracks that cross-coastal headlands, inland lakes, landmarks and man-made attractions and showcase the rich flora and fauna Rottnest has to offer.
There are five sections to Wadjemup Bidi, each with its own environmental and culturally significant elements to explore and experience.
Whadjuk Noongar are the Traditional Owners of Rottnest Island. "Bidi" in Noongar means "trail" or "track".

ROTTNEST ISLAND MUSEUM AND SALT STORE GALLERY AND EXHIBITION CENTRE
Built by Aboriginal prisoners in 1857, the Rottnest Island Museum is housed in the original old mill and haystore and provides historical context about the Island. It includes a range of information about its settlement, marine wrecks and Aboriginal prisoners.
Also constructed by Aboriginal prisoners in 1868, the Salt store is one of Rottnest Island's oldest buildings. Today this building, while restored, still has many of its original features. It is primarily used as a gallery space housing many photography and art exhibitions.
LIGHTHOUSE TOURS
Rottnest has two lighthouses – Wadjemup Lighthouse and Bathurst Lighthouse.
Wadjemup Lighthouse offers stunning views of the ocean and Island and can be accessed by bike or foot. Tours of Wadjemup Lighthouse run daily.
Bathurst Lighthouse is operational and not open to the public. Its location offers striking views of the ocean and it is the ideal location to catch a sunset over Pinky Beach.

SNORKELLING
Rottnest Island is one of the best locations for snorkellers. The Island is home to hundreds of species of tropical fish with dolphins, stingrays and turtles often spotted. There are numerous spots around the Island for snorkelling with some of the most popular including The Basin and Fish Hook Bay.

SKYDIVE GERONIMO
For the adventurous, Rottnest Island offers WA's only island skydive experience.
A scenic flight over the Island as you reach jump altitude, precedes an adrenalin fuelled skydive from 15,00 feet before a serene beach-landing and celebratory drink.
FAMILY FUN PARK & MINI GOLF
There is much for families to do at Rottnest with the Family Fun Park & Mini Golf a popular destination.
Open everyday from 9am to 5pm the park features mini golf, trampolines, giant chess and a range of "arcade" style game.
ISLAND EXPLORER
Rottnest operates the Island Explorer hop-on/hop-off bus service all year round.
This convenient service allows visitors the opportunity to explore the entire island at their own pace with the option of jumping on and off at any location

BIKE HIRE
The most popular way to see and get around Rottnest Island is by bike.
Bring your own bike to the Island or hire one from Rottnest Island Pedal & Flipper, which boasts the largest range of bikes in the Southern Hemisphere (1,300 bikes).
Pedal & Flipper has bikes for kids and adults including electric, hybrid and mountain bikes, bike trailers, bikes with baby seats and supplies helmets and bike locks.

This 90 minute bus tour takes you to some of Rottnest’s most spectacular locations, where you can experience the island's diverse flora, fauna, history and culture for yourself, with insightful commentary by knowledgeable crew from Rottnest Express along the way.
EXPERIENCE ROTTNEST - BIKE & SNORKEL
Explore Rottnest at your own pace, by land and by sea, on this self-guided tour bike and snorkel tour. The package comes with a bike and snorkelling gear, which will take care of your transport and recreation needs above and below sea level.
