Witness the rugged splendour of the famous 12 Apostles, magnificent rock stacks up to 45 metres in height, rising up majestically from the Southern Ocean on Victoria's dramatic coastline.
Nestled inside a dormant volcano, Tower Hill is today a beautiful haven for wildlife thanks to the efforts of Friends of Tower Hill and volunteers. There is a lake and wetland and during years of average rainfall it is not uncommon to see the wetland completely immersed in water.
They usually reach Warrnambool in late May/Early June, these majestic creatures of the sea. Almost every year between June and September, female Southern Right whales return to Warrnambool’s Logan’s Beach to calve. The whales often swim within 100 metres of the shore and can be viewed from the beach or sand dunes via a specially constructed whale viewing platform.
