Take the Underground Mining Experience for a guided tour 15 metres underground. Spend a day (or two) at Outback at Isa, including the fascinating Riversleigh Fossil Centre. Spectacular Lake Moondarra offers swimming, boating, sailing, canoeing and excellent barramundi fishing. Held every August, the Mount Isa Rodeo is the biggest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and an absolute must-see.
Campfires are not permitted across our parks from 1 November 2025 - 30 April 2026.
Outside of these times, our property managers will monitor local conditions and may under their discretion ban campfires due to the current risk at that time.
You may also check with the park team when you arrive if campfires are permitted or banned during your stay.
