Now, don’t dismiss the Blackwater International Coal Centre. Yeah, we know, ‘coal’ and ‘fascinating’ aren't often used in the same sentence, but this isn't a dusty museum of rocks. Think of it more like a backstage pass to the coal show — and your very own tour of a fair dinkum open-cut mine. We guess you could say, it kinda rocks!
But let's not forget the reason many of us hit the road: the great outdoors. The Blackdown Tableland and Minerva National Parks are just a stone's throw away (pun intended) and have more more hiking trails, waterfalls, and lookouts than you can shake a stick at.
And let’s not forget about Blackwater’s Japanese Garden. This little pocket of tranquility commemorates the town’s relationship with Fujisawa, Japan, one step inside and it’s like all the noise of the world goes on a tea break.
Discovery Parks – Blackwater. Come for the coal, stay for the culture—and everything in between.
