Are your kids acting up? Wonderful! Pop them into the car and take them to the Old Dubbo Gaol to show them how punishment has been dished out in years past. Take them through the Courthouse lock up and gaol, which has been restored with all the bars and locks, providing the right atmosphere required when dealing with unruly children. This trip is great motivation for good behaviour, and a learning experience to boot.

Save your cash for another day when you head down to the Cultural Centre to explore the museum and gallery at no cost. There are temporary exhibits, changing contemporary art shows and one permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Dubbo. The Centres shop is designed to support local artists in showcasing their talents, so use that saved coin for a souvenir of your trip.
