Set on the banks of the Yarra River and just 5kms from Port Philip Bay, the capital city of Melbourne offers all the attractions of an international city. With excellent shopping in Bourke Street Mall, beautiful gardens and parks in the Yarra Precinct, and an array of culinary experiences from Chinatown to the Greek Quarter, Melbourne offers something for the whole family.

Home to a number of Australian native Lyre Birds, the 3215 hectare Dandenong Ranges National Park offers excellent walking and hiking trails, while daily 1 hour scenic rides on the century old Puffing Billy Steam Railway are available from nearby Belgrave.

Phillip Island, famous for its resident population of Fairy Penguins, and home to the International Motorcycle Grand Prix, World Championship Superbikes and Australian Touring Car Championships, is just under 2 hours from Frankston.

Serviced daily, our range of motel accommodation comes with complimentary continental breakfast on arrival, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and en-suite bathroom, with the Motel Twin Room sleeping 4. The Motel Double features a double bed and sofa bed, while the 2 person Motel Spa Room features a corner spa bath.

MRPS is a heritage railway operating in the Mornington Peninsula between Moorooduc and Mornington. We have both Steam and Diesel heritage broadgauge locomotive and passenger cars. Running days are normally the first three Sundays of each month.

After 4 spectacular seasons of sand sculptures on the Waterfront, Frankston is definitely the home of sand sculpting in Australia. And this summer’s event is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet!

For 4 months from Boxing Day, Frankston Waterfront will again be transformed as 3,500 tonnes of sand is carved into spectacular sculptures. This year, Sand Sculpting Australia’s team of talented International and Australian sculptors will bring to ‘life’ in meticulous detail the magical world of “Toytopia”.

You will enter a wondrous land where favourite childhood playthings from years gone by mix with those from today. You can see spinning tops, a Jack-in-a-box, cuddly teddy bears, tin soldiers, building blocks, race cars, a rocking horse, dolls of every shape and size, and all the other toys that give joy to the young and the young at heart.

Integrated with the sculptures will be children’s activities including Sand Sculpting Workshops, Sand Art, Sand Bottles, Sand Diggers and our “NEW” Giant Sand Pit. Plus, on weekends and school holidays, there will be Roving Entertainers from Cirque Mystique, Face Painting and, for the first time, Speed Carving will be showcased. The Balnarring Picnic Racing Club is a non profit organisation committed to promoting picnic racing as an enjoyable and family orientated activity.
Set in a scenic rural environment, the Balnarring Picnic Racing Club provides the opportunity for all to experience 'the fun of the races'.
Visit the mounting yard as the horses are paraded, and, from track side, cheer your favorite home as the horses race around the track.
Back a winner with one of the local, Melbourne and interstate bookmakers. A full TAB service and 'punters club' are also provided.
