The city of Frankston offers many attractions and activities for the whole family.  Set on pristine coastline, The Frankston Waterfront offers family dining and an award-winning adventure playground, while the Frankston Sunday Market features over 100 stalls selling local produce and crafts.

Set on the banks of the Yarra River and just 5kms from Port Philip Bay, the capital city of Melbourne offers all the attractions of an international city.  With excellent shopping in Bourke Street Mall, beautiful gardens and parks in the Yarra Precinct, and an array of culinary experiences from Chinatown to the Greek Quarter, Melbourne offers something for the whole family.

Home to a number of Australian native Lyre Birds, the 3215 hectare Dandenong Ranges National Park offers excellent walking and hiking trails, while daily 1 hour scenic rides on the century old Puffing Billy Steam Railway are available from nearby Belgrave.

Phillip Island, famous for its resident population of Fairy Penguins, and home to the International Motorcycle Grand Prix, World Championship Superbikes and Australian Touring Car Championships, is just under 2 hours from Frankston.

Discovery Holiday Parks – Chelsea offers accommodation ranging from powered camp and caravan sites, to a selection of 1, 2 and3 bedroom Villas.  Our range of self-contained 4 Star Superior Villas, provide sleeping for 4 to 6, while our Standard 1 Bedroom Villa is ideal for couples.  All feature full kitchen, TV/DVD, heating and cooling, en-suite bathroom and come with all linen supplied.  Our grass covered camp sites are close to the amenities block, as are our powered caravan sites complete with access to sullage and water.

Penguin Parade and Seal Rocks

The Penguin Parade and Seal Rocks at Phillip Island are internationally famous. This is where the little "gentlemen in dinner suits" waddle past you to reach their nests amidst the sand dunes. Then a unique opportunity to observe Australia's largest colony of fur seals at close quarters.

Dandenong Ranges

The beautiful Dandenong Ranges are a feast in themselves. Not only for the mountain scenery and glorious views of Melbourne and the bay, but also as a gourmet tour of hillside restaurants. In the tea shops there's hot home-made scones either buttered or piled with freshly-cooked berry jam and thick cream. There's many a bric-a-brac shop and cottage crafts industries in the hills.

Puffing Billy

Australia's premier steam railway "Puffing Billy" is a relic of our more leisurely days. A Historic Steam train takes you on a sentimental journey along this 13km track of panoramic and scenic views. On arriving at Emerald Lake many hours can be spent bush walking, swimming or relaxing in the peaceful country setting.

Take a train ride into Melbourne Central and visit the Art & Craft Markets, Victoria Market, Melbourne Zoo, Southbank, Crown Casino, Arts Centre, MCG, Treasury Gardens and Fitzroy Gardens.
