West Coast Wilderness Railway

West Coast Wilderness Railway travels through one of the world's last pristine wilderness areas crossing 40 bridges, wild rivers and climbs over 200 metres on a fascinating 35 kilometre journey from Strahan to Queenstown.

Gordon River Cruises

This magnificent cruise features not only the stunning views of waterfalls and mirrored reflections of the Gordon River but Hells Gate where the harbour opens to the ocean and the notorious Sarah Island. You are also able to step ashore and experience the wonder of the Heritage Landing and walk into the green silence of the rainforest where the trees are up to 2000 years old.

Strahan Food & Wine

Strahan has always been a working fishing port - today, the town's lobster boats and long-liners still tie up at the wharf to unload their catch. Fresh West Coast lobster and fish are a treat. To accompany this beautiful seafood, a Tasmanian Chardonnay, Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect choice.

Cove Gallery

The Cove Gallery is a contemporary art gallery which is housed within a converted, century-old sawmill workshop and the exposed-beam framework compliments an eclectic collection of work by Tasmanian artists. Works include paintings, photography, jewellery, ceramics and glass.

Eric Thomas Gallery Museum

The development of Queenstown and the West Coast are featured in more than 900 photographs displayed in 23 rooms of this museum. There are also items of household equipment and personal effects, old documents, coins, cameras, early theatre projectors and antique mantel clocks.

Hogarth Falls

The Hogarth Falls track is located in the Peoples Park. This easy, relaxed walk runs along an almost level track and features water flowing though it.

Teepookana Huon Pine Experience

This is a great experience to get up and close to the Huon pine. This walk features the beautiful pine forest and also a "demonstration forest" where Huon pines are being grown for the future.

Strahan Marine Charters

Strahan Marine Charters offers fishing, sightseeing and bushwalking tours. You can take in the majestic Macquarie Harbour on these charted trips to destinations of your choice - tours can be tailored to suit you.

Wild Rivers Jet

Take Wild Rivers Jet for an exhilarating 50 minute trip through the magnificent rain-forested gorges of the West Coast's amazing King River. View the ancient Huon Pines and discover the area's fascinating past.

West Coast Yacht Charters

These charters offer a timeless journey across the Macquarie Harbour from Strahan into the ancient temperate wilderness of the island's unspoilt west coast on "Stormbreaker", a 60 foot steel ketch.
