Discovery Holiday Parks –Biloela (formerly White Cockatoo Accommodation) in Central Queensland’s Callide Valley is under 2 hours from Gladstone and Rockhampton, with the inland centre of Emerald a 3 and a half hour drive.  Qantas flights operate most days from Brisbane to Thangool airport, 11 kilometres from Biloela.

Biloela is the main town in the Banana Shire, providing services to the nearby Callide Coal Mines and Power Stations and offering visitors a wide variety of natural attractions and activities.  The century old Greycliffe Homestead is open by appointment, while The Silo features exhibitions on the regions various industries.  On the outskirts of town, the Callide Lookout gives excellent views over Biloela, while Lake Callide provides excellent Barramundi fishing, and water skiing.  Nearby Thangool is home to the rare rock formation of Mt Scoria, and features a race track and beautiful parks.

Home to the endangered Kroombit Tinker Frog, the nearby Kroombit Tops National Park features sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, lookouts and is the final resting place of a World War II B24D Liberator bomber which crashed in 1945 claiming all on board.

For those on a touring holiday, the coastal towns of Gladstone and Rockhampton are less than 2 hours away.  On the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef, Discovery Holiday Parks – Rockhampton provides a perfect base to enjoy the areas excellent fishing and sightseeing before heading inland to Biloela.

Discovery Holiday Parks – Biloela is a pet -friendly park that offers accommodation from camp and powered en-suite caravan sites, to a range of self-contained cabins, units and a selection of rooms for corporate clients.

Our new 3 Star Superior Cabins feature Queen and sofa bed, with kitchenette, TV and en-suite bathroom, while our Standard Self-Contained Units and feature hotplate and oven, full size fridge and dining.

Our Standard Contractor En-suite & Double Room features Queen and sofa bed, with bathroom and internet access, while our Contractor Single Room offers a choice of en-suite or non en-suite.  Full board is available including 3 meals per day in the dining hall, with fresh linen and rooms cleaned daily.
