½ Day - Gerringong

For a brief excursion, drive the 4kms into Gerringong, a growing township recognised for its
individual and happy blend of artisans, good taste and charisma, from where magnificent views of Werri Beach can be seen. The best vantage points are offered by some of the township's local cafes and restaurants while you sit back with a smooth coffee, fresh fruit frappe, or even a romantic dinner.

2 Hours - Gerroa Headland / Whale Watching

Take a stroll around the Gerroa headland. While viewing the sea from atop the headland, keep an eye out for dolphins surfing the waves as they roll into Shelley Beach or whales (June - November) as they pass by on their way to and from winter breeding grounds.

2 Hours - Learn to Surf

Seven Mile Beach is also the ideal beach for beginner and intermediate surfers. Surf Camp Australia provides both group and private 'learn to surf' lessons for all ages and is based at Discovery Holiday Parks - Gerroa. ½ Day - Kiama

Make your way to Kiama (15kms), a town steeped in history, charm and atmosphere and beautifully located on a picturesque fishing harbour. Visit the famous Kiama Blow Hole where a spectacular rush of water bursts through unusual rock formations spurting water high into the air. Also recommended is a stop at the Fish Market at Kiama Harbour to select from a range of local fresh fish and other seafood to BBQ or bake for dinner.

½ Day - Fishing / Whale Watching Charters

If sea fishing is a desire, join a fishing charter on MV Sigma departing from Kiama Harbour and go catch the big one using the expert knowledge and seamanship of an experienced local skipper (subject to a minimum of 6 persons). 2 Hours - Fleet Air Arm Museum

A visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at HMAS ALBATROSS is highly recommended. 8kms south of Nowra and approx 40 minutes drive from Discovery Holiday Parks - Gerroa, museum displays depict the eras of Naval Aviation commencing with biplanes operating from Australian cruisers in WW I, progressing through WW II, the founding of the Fleet Air Arm, the Vietnam War Helicopter Flight and up to the current ship-borne helicopters now operating with the Fleet - refer www.navy.gov.au/faam

2 - 2.5 Hour - Dolphin Watch Cruises

From Jervis Bay just south of the Fleet Air Arm Museum, 2 hour morning and 2.5 hour afternoon Dolphin Watch cruises are operated daily year round by the multi-award winning cruise company, Dolphin Watch Cruises Jervis Bay, with Whale Watch cruises from May to November. 2 Hours - Nowra Wildlife Park

For animal lovers and families with young children, the Nowra Wildlife Park (the largest native animal park on the NSW South Coast) will excite. Set in 16 acres of native bushland and resting on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, the Park brings together over 100 species of native Australian animals, birds and reptiles with wildlife shows run daily throughout the year (Free with your admission price) - refer www.nowrawildlifepark.com.au

2 Hours - Berry

Stroll around the myriad of shops in the Berry village shopping precinct from where a great selection of antiques, Swiss clocks, jewellery & gems, local paintings or fine art are available. Stop in at one of the many coffee shops for an indulgent morning tea before heading over to The Treat Factory where you can sample their delectable handmade chocolates.

2 Hours - Coolangatta Estate and Winery

Make your way to the historic Coolangatta Estate and Winery, taking a self-guided historic tour on arrival before stopping by the Cellar Door. The Winery offers only Estate grown wines for which it has won many awards. Coolangatta Estate is also a great lunch stop with their inclusive Regional Tasting Plate of selected regional foods matched to four of the Estate's award winning wines being a gastronomic delight. ½ Day - Gerringong or Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club

The 18 holes Club is situated between Gerroa and Gerringong overlooking Walkers Beach and offers a friendly golfing atmosphere that is open 7 days with a resort style club house providing hire clubs, drinks and snacks. This is a links course with a Par of 72 and ACR of 68 - refer www.gerringonggolf.com.au
Alternatively, the 15 holes Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club situated just a few minutes from Berry, offers uniqueness of design together with testing large manicured greens and a fully licensed club house.

2 Hours - Barefoot Special Bowls

Head to the Gerringong Bowling & Recreation Club located opposite Werri Beach where you can play 'Barefoot Social Bowls' free for the first hour (Club supplied equipment with Greens generally available every afternoon from 5.00pm) before enjoying some light refreshments and a casual dinner. Choices include a modern bistro offering succulent tasty meals with ever changing daily specials or the Taste of Asia Chinese Restaurant offering an extensive Chinese and Australian meals menu - refer www.gerringongbowlo.com.au

3 Hours - Jamberoo Action Park

If you have kids in tow, then Jamberoo Action Park is a must. Water thrills & spills, wave pools,
toboggan rides & racing cars are only a handful of the adventures to experience at this family

2 Hours - Minnamurra Rainforest

Take the chance to explore the region's local rainforests and National Parks. Starting off at
Minnamurra Rainforest, choose either the Rainforest Loop Walk (a 1.6km elevated boardwalk) or the Falls Walk to experience the beauty of the waterfalls and peaceful beauty of this luscious rainforest (2.6km return). Remember to keep a close eye out for the magnificent Lyrebirds that live in this area - refer www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au

2 Hours - Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk

Continuing on from the Rainforest, make your way a little further up Jamberoo Mountain Road to the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. The only one of its kind in NSW and 25 metres above the ground, the two cantilevered walkways take you to the edge of the forest fall line and offer inspiring views of the beautiful Illawarra escarpment and coastline. Spectacular panoramic scenery is also experienced from the crest of the walk way's spiralling tower, 45 metres above the forest floor. Don't forget to leave yourself enough time relax in the clean coastal air as you stroll around the Park, finding along the way the swimming pool, playground, jumping pillow and 4 wheel bikes, not to mention the changing beauty and birdlife of the placid Crooked River and mastering the art of riding the waves off of Seven Mile Beach.
