Not only can we book the entire experience through Reception at Woodman Point, but we also have pick up and drop off with Rottnest Express at the park so it’s super easy to visit one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks. Note: pick up and drop off is not available from Coogee Beach.Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Rottnest Island

Fremantle Markets

The Fremantle Markets, located 13 minutes by car from Discovery Parks - Woodman Point and 12 minutes from Discovery Parks - Coogee Beach, are considered to be one of the world’s premier tourist markets and has been in operation since 1897. It’s been a WA ultimate market experience for both locals and tourists for over 100 years, so this is a MUST DO when visiting the Fremantle region.Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Fremantle Markets

Fremantle Prison

Built as a convict barracks in the 19th Century and remaining in continual use until 1991, the prison was a place of hangings, floggings, dramatic convict escapes and riots. You can now do tours (even through the night!) and get a small insight of what it would have been like inside those walls. Even the scaredy-cats will love it!Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Fremantle Prison

WA Maritime Museum

This is an amazing experience located by the Indian Ocean; a symbol of Fremantle past, present and future. Inside you’ll find heaps of amazing stories, exhibits and a favourite of Park Manager Tristan is the guided tour of HMAS Ovens (takes approx. 1 hour).Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Maritime Museum

Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour

Looking for the best Fish and Chips in Australia? Visit the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and take your pick of all the world-renowned restaurants featuring some of WA’s freshest seafood. Looking for some adrenalin-packed fun with the family? Adventure World is full of amazing rides, food, drinks and experiences that you’ll never forget. Coogee Common

A new addition to the restaurant scene located on the doorstep of Discovery Parks - Coogee Beach and only 5 minutes by car from Woodman Point, this eatery is simply amazing. Built in 1894, it was a meeting place for local market gardeners and shipping workers and moving to an orphanage in the 1930’s through till the 1970’s when it became empty and stayed that way till 2018 when it was taken over, developed and opened in 2020 as the hip new spot to eat.

Little Creatures Brewery

Amazing location, food and drinks. Little Creatures is an iconic WA brand and if you’re looking for an experience along with a meal, then this is the place for you. Another of the Park Manager Tristan’s favourites, located in Fremantle on the water you won’t be disappointed in this venue. You can do a brewery tour then sit and enjoy Fremantle’s best Pizza (in Tristan’s opinion) or some share plates with the family (but who wants to share??). They have a sandy kids’ play area and also do an amazing beer tasting platter. Make sure you get in early as it’s ALWAYS bustling.Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Little Creatures Brewing

Mandurah

Looking for something more relaxing to fill the entire day? Mandurah is located just over 1-hour drive from Discovery Parks - Woodman Point and plays host to some amazing restaurants, bars and experiences in the South West. Dolphin tours are a large part of Mandurah tourism and you can get on a tour daily along the foreshore. Make sure to be quick with your camera shutter!

Cottesloe Beach

Located just 22 minutes’ drive from Discovery Parks - Woodman Point, this beachside location hosts many restaurants and bars and one of WA’s prettiest beaches on offer (if you ask Tristan). A great location to spend a warm summer’s day with the family and have everything you need at your disposal, and a must-do for those seeking the perfect sunset snap. The perfect photography location. Feel like spending the afternoon having a quiet beverage with friends? The Cottesloe Beach Hotel has one of the most amazing views on the coastline of WA.Discovery Parks Woodman Point - Cottesloe Beach 670x445
