PARK HOSTS - Warrnambool, VIC

We currently have an opportunity for full-time Park Hosts at our property in Warrnambool.  The successful person or couple will manage the operations, staff and finance of the property and ensure the smooth functioning of the Park.

Knowledge, skills and attributes required in a Park Host include:

  • A focus on providing excellent customer service, at all times
  • Comprehensive handyman and/or solid office skills are essential; a trade certificate will be highly regarded
  • Both must be computer literate
  • Understanding of yield management
  • Flexible attitude to work, and work hours
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Good people and relationship building skills

Common tasks performed by Park Hosts include but are not limited to:

  • Grounds maintenance, gardening and general upkeep
  • Ensure high standard of park appearance is manintained at all times
  • Monitoring of guest accounts
  • Manage day-to-day finances of the park
  • Reception duties, answering the telephone, check-ins/outs
  • Stock control
  • Park activity organization
  • Staff management & supervision
  • Manage sales and marketing of the property in consultation with the National Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Night patrols & being available for after-hours call-outs

TRAVEL SPECIALIST - Hobart, TAS

We seek a highly motivated Customer Service and Sales Representative to join the Discovery Holiday Parks team in Hobart, TAS. This customer contact role is an exciting opportunity to provide end to end service to both new and existing customers regarding their holiday and accommodation needs.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • High level of computer knowledge
  • Initiative and resourcefulness
  • Motivation and willingness to learn
  • Efficient and polite customer service manner

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking incoming calls and providing excellent customer service
  • Converse with customer to determine travel destination, dates, travel dates and accommodation required
  • Process bookings in a timely and efficient manner
  • Plan, describe, arrange, and sell tour packages across Discovery Holiday Parks’ Tasmania Portfolio
  • Co-ordinate group bookings
  • Contact customers with specials and promotions.
  • Assist Park Management to drive ongoing growth through the achievement of occupancy

Extensive product and system training will be given to the successful applicant who will also be provided with continued support and professional development. Previous experience in the travel industry will be highly regarded, however, it is not essential.

The position will suit someone with high levels of energy, who is self-motivated and finds reward in performing the high level of customer service required to fulfill this role.
